Having walked Moelwyn Mawr on Day three of my trip, (left above), it seemed only proper that I should walk Moelwyn Bach, (right), on Day four.

A tarmac start, steep at times, using the single track and gated road that heads to Tan-y-Bwlch.

The route up Moelwyn Bach had been easy. The track on down towards Bwlch Stwlan was steep and rocky!

I was very tired and not feeling that well. But started the scramble up Craigysgafn before common sense kicked in, and I sat for a lunch break instead!

I thought about heading down the Bwlch, but it was very boggy. So I trudged back up the steep and rocky path to the top of Moelwyn Bach.

The extra effort in re-climbing Moelwyn Bach was well worth it. In afternoon sunshine the height gained gave a lovely view over the Snowdon Horseshoe.

Back onto the single track road to Croesor. And a truly wonderful view into the heartland of Snowdonia. I'll be doing this walk again!
