I find Croesor an excellent starting place for walks into the Mowleyns, as here on Boxing day
heading up the old miners' route to the long since closed quarry.
Quite lot of the old quarry area remains below the small summit of Moelwyn Mawr North Ridge Top.
Height gained gives a lovely view back over Moel Hebog and neighbours.
Into the quiet and peaceful Moelwyns.
Summit area of Moelwyn Mawr North Ridge Top.
View along the broad ridge up to the main Moelwyn Mawr.
Still on the summit of Moelwyn Mawr North Ridge Top.
Nantlle Ridge party hides behind the much closer Cnicht.
Back past the quarry and the most distinctive of a number of surviving shells of old buildings.
A lovely walk comes to an end, with a very pleasant view heading into the small hamlet of Croesor.
