On Thursday, Bryan chose Kinder again, but this time we ascended via Crowden Brook/Clough, the walked East along the plateau edge and made our descent via Ringing Roger. Starting from Edale again, we followed the Pennine way towards Crowden Brook.

A little higher, and cold enought for icicles.

Getting colder now.

Up to the start of the icy waterfalls.
The Clough narrows and gets more scrambly.
More icy scrambling ahead for Yeti!

The rocks getting bigger...
This was our route to the top - but again, too icy for us to climb the
'waterfall' section, which went beyond what we could see...
But I still checked it out to make sure.
While Yeti had a paddle in the iced up water below me.

No. Definitely too icy to climb.
After a bit of a discussion, we decided to climb out of the clough via the steep grassy bank (right of photo)...
Then looked down at the top of the icy waterfall.
Onto Kinder plateau.
And Yeti falls into a deep snow hole.

Winhill, (left, distance), and the Great Ridge.
Having a play with Yeti's ice axe.
We sat on Ringing Roger and saw a mountain hare.

The very last of the sun, before a walk back to the car at the end of another superb day on Kinder.
